Our story

Our beginning

Whisky Asset was founded by Alberto Lee with a clear intention: to create the kind of whisky business he would want to deal with himself.

His experience of the market often felt slow, unclear, and distant from the whisky itself. Ownership could feel abstract, with little visibility of the casks or the ability to interact with them in a meaningful way.

What he wanted instead was something far simpler. Direct ownership. Clear provenance. The ability to visit and experience the casks on your own terms.

That remains the foundation of Whisky Asset today. We own the casks we offer, store them in bond in Glasgow, and guide clients through selection, stewardship, and eventual bottling with clarity and care.

Our belief

We believe whisky is shaped long before it is tasted. By place. By time. By intent. A cask is not a product waiting to be sold. It is a living record of patience, stewardship and choice. When handled properly, it gathers character slowly and earns its value over years, not moments. Ownership should feel considered. Calm. Grounded in trust.

Owners, not brokers

We own the casks we offer. That means clear provenance, proper registration, and confidence in what you are buying.

Stewardship & Responsibility

A cask is a long-term asset that requires careful oversight. We prioritise correct storage conditions and patient management.

Culture & Lifestyle

Whisky Asset exists as a world shaped by whisky. A place where casks, places, and people are brought together through shared experiences and a deep respect for the craft.
